Why do we love Rowan Kidsilk Haze?  Rowan is a brand that has been in the textile market since 1978. One of the first yarn that accompany its brand since the beginning is Kidsilk Haze. It is a beautiful, soft yarn, with an incredible color palette, all this is due to the high quality of the mixture of mohair and silk fiber.  Being mohair you can mix it with other yarns of merino or alpaca, put it double, knit it with needles of different sizes to obtain a thicker or more open piece.   If you want more information you can visit my blog mi blog https://picknit.es/blog/guia-mohair-isager-silk-mohair-vs-ito-sensai-vs-rowan-kidsilk-haze/

I adore this yarn:) Isager Eco Baby is a super soft and stretchy undyed yarn in organic pima cotton and baby alpaca. The color variations come from the natural variations of the alpaca. Perfect for soft baby clothes and people with sensitive skin, as it has the Oeko Tex standard 100 certification. It differs from Isager Eco Soft in that the latter is a brushed type yarn, that is, with hair, therefore a cloud-like effect is achieved in the work. Pattern we recommendhttps://picknit.es/es/isager/6120-isager-owl-patr%C3%B3n-individual.html

In the composition mentioned below, an Easy Wash text appears, this means that it has a machine washable treatment, sustainable with the environment that uses oxidants, with REACH, Oeko-tex and ZDH (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemical) certificates that are not harmful to the environment

Silky Merino is one of the softest and most beautiful yarns from Malabrigo In its composition we find silk and merino, therefore, it has a slight shine that makes it ideal for weaving shawls and scarves. Due to the silk and being a single stranded yarn, we do not recommend it for knitting clothing that may have chafing. However, it is one of the best yarns, as we said before, for shawls It is a yarn that is very enjoyable to weave and has a perfect fall. The final finish is wonderful, due to its duo tones that characterize it.

Madelinetosh is undoubtedly the hand-dyed wool brand, and its most appreciated wool is Merino Light There are innumerable projects that you can find in Ravelry to knit with this yarn that leaves no one indifferent, the color saturation, the softness, the drape, they have it all. Unfortunately they are imported wool and hence their price and the difficulty in obtaining it, but I'm sure you'll love it Something very important, please, when knitting the swatch, block it, it grows a lot when blocking, which is great, but if you knit a jumper you can find yourself in trouble if you don't. Amble is a fingering-weight yarn made from a blend of eco-friendly washable wool and alpaca for comfort as well as recycled nylon for strength. The brand has designed especially for sock knitting, but I would not recommend the yarn for this because is every bit as stretchy as other superwash yarns This is a soft and durable yarn also great for easy-to-care-for sweaters and accessories. When The Fibre Co.  designed they thought to be gentle on our planet. I wouldn´t recommend to wash the yarn in machine as the brand says.

This yarn has a nice story behind it. Saona is the name of the river where the grandfather of the owners of Wool Dreamers, Julián and his sons Teodoro and Ramón used to go with their wagon pulled by mules and full of woolen fleeces. There they spent the days while they washed the wool and left it ready to later dry it, card it, spin it and weave the blankets. It is a rustic thread, it does not itch but if you are very sensitive when it comes into contact with your skin, I think it is not for you. It's fluffy, it gains a lot from blocking in terms of softness, and its palette is inspired by natural colors. Why is this wool from sustainable trade? - Entrefina and Manchega Merino wool. Revaluing native sheep wool - Andalusian Traceabled Cotton - Grazed herds that clean and fertilize local land - Thread with OEKOTEX Standard 100 certificate - Traceability 100% guaranteed. From the sheep to your hands - Minimum carbon emissions compared to other yarns Buying this yarn from this brand you buy and help local and Spanish sustainable commerce.

Why do we love Isager Highland? I confess... it's a classic Isager yarn that we didn't introduce to the store until after a few years of working with the brand. The reason is a lace weight yarn, which "usually accompany other threads". nothing more wrongThis yarnhas structure without being stiff, and it is beautiful, it has some duotones that you cannot imagine. I have fallen in love. I'll tell you more... it's spun with Peruvian sheep wool. Highland yarn is not spun as tightly as Tvinni and is therefore a softer yarn, which can still replace Tvinni and Alpaca 2. The yarn is well suited for patterns that require stitch definition or in conjunction with other threads and does not twist when working in the round. Highland works great on its own, but can also be woven together with any other yarn. It is important that you take into account that it is normal that if you pull a yarn so thin in thickness it can loosen up, but this one like any other of this caliber. If you use double thread you can get a 3.75mm The mark indicates needles from 3.50 to 5mm, Picknit considers that a yarn is a 3mm The colors are inspired by Tibetan landscapes, but take their names from favorite Italian delicacies and wine, as well as the autumnal mood.

Each skein of this brand is unique and the truth is that it is very difficult to choose, I know You'll wonder what a difference there is between Litlg Fine Sock and Litlg Singles. Well, the first one in addition to having more meters, the difference is that the first one has torsion, instead. KOS is a yarn that can be knitted alone or together with mohair, it is very soft and has a very nice color palette Kos consists of alpaca fibers that are combined with wool resulting in a soft, light and airy yarn. Alpaca is about three times warmer than regular wool and therefore insulates well. The fiber is hollow and breathable so it feels warm in cold temperatures and cool in hot temperatures. The wool added to this mixture provides resistance and volume. Both alpaca and wool have good thermoregulatory properties. DOUBLE Sunday is a soft merino yarn that can be knitted single, double or together with mohair. The supplier ensures that this wool has been obtained free of animal suffering How is it different from Sunday? Double Sunday is DK yarn, 4mm needle and therefore, fewer meters come per skein, Sunday is fingering yarn weight so more finest than Double Sunday and what does Petite Knit collection mean? It means that the designer Petite Knit has created that color, but it is the same in thickness and meters as DOUBLE Sunday . Well, the first one in addition to having more meters, the difference is that the first one has torsion, instead.

Its colors and twist-free strands make this “Manchego cheese” a very rare, very soft and top-quality material with which you can create unique, light and unrepeatable garments. If we want to weave it in two sections to make it easier for us, we would be looking at a thickness of 230m/100g (DK); On the other hand, if you are one of the skilled ones and you dare with a single wick, you will have double the meters: 460m/100g (Fingering). We have put together Spinni and Spinni Tweed as they are really the same type of yarn only as said above, they are slightly different. Spinni pairs very well with mohair, we suggest Rowan Kidsilk Haze o Silk Mohair o Sensai As for its thickness, although it is a lace-type yarn, when used as a double strand we get a Sport yarn. . If you are looking for a yarn with intense solid colors, Cumbria is for you. The color palette is inspired by the landscapes of northern England, its valleys, lakes, sky and the colors of the lands of that area. Regarding the weight, although the brand indicates that it is fingering, I would particularly say that it is Sport In its composition we find Argentine mohair which provides luster and Masham sheep wool, a typical sheep of this area that gives it that "heathered" aspect, that is, skeins with gray undertones in the background and merino that provides softness. It consists of the finest merino quality, virgin wool, which is first cut lambswool. The long and fine fibres make a very durable quality. We describe this as our finest yarn, which wears out beautifully. A sweater knitted in Tvinni has a long life if treated with care. As this is a two ply yarn it is suitable for knitting stocking stitch in the round and due to its lightness, it can be used in various combinations, alone or together with other qualities, in e.g. Fair Isle and Norwegian knitting. It is a rustic type yarn, if you are very sensitive to wool it is not your yarn :) We recommend this patterns with this yarn: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/robinia-sweater https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pop-spots https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/girlfriends-cardigan-anke https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/agnete-cardigan https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/october-sweater-3 https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/granada-4

We recommend 3.75mm or 4.00mm needle for knitting shawls The colors are incredible, Malabrigo's color palette is very wide so you will find your choice difficult If you are looking to weave a work type jersey or cardigan given the resistance we recommend Sock de Malabrigo.

Although it is called Sock, sock in English, it can be knitted, for me it is also ideal for children's clothing It is important that you know that the needle will vary depending on the work chosen. For shawls they are normally knitted with 3.75mm / 4.00mm. However, if you knit a cardigan you will probably need to lower the needle to 3.25mm or 2.5mm Its color palette is incredible FAQ What is the difference with Malabrigo Mechita? Why do we adore Malabrigo ? Malabrigo is a Uruguayan brand of yarns of natural fibers, mainly merino, dyed by hand. They stand out for their quality and for their colors. Why choose Arroyo? Arroyo is a Malabrigo merino yarn of medium thickness which makes it ideal for adult and children's clothing. It is also very soft to the touch. It is also machine washable at 30º so we recommend it for daily clothes and accessories. In texture it is equal to Rios but finer in thickness. We have all the colors available in our equal, as well as Rios It sounds good right? Some considerations: Make sure you have enough thread to complete your project. Malabrigo Arroyo has lots of the same tinted color for maximum 5 skeins. Malabrigo recommends alternating balls to avoid sudden changes of color in the work
